✍️ How I Got Google AdSense Approval with My First Ever Website

Hey guys 👋, welcome to today’s article! In this post, I’m going to share my journey of how I got Google AdSense approval with my very first blog. It’s been a wild ride—especially since I knew almost nothing about blogging or monetizing a website when I started out.

🧪 The Beginning: Discovery Through Curiosity

I was first introduced to Google AdSense back in 2023, and that moment really kicked off my interest in creating something of my own online. So I started doing deep research. I wanted to understand Google AdSense, blogging, and how people actually earn money through their sites.

That’s when I landed on blogger.com—simple, clean, and beginner-friendly. Without hesitation, I registered my first blog.

💊 My First Blog Idea: A Medicine Leaflet Archive

Inspired by something both helpful and unique, I created a medicine leaflet website—basically a place where people could read or download medicine leaflets for free 🧾.

Here’s what I did:

• I gathered leaflets from pharmacies, hospitals, and medications we had at home.

• I scanned the texts and carefully placed them on my website.

• I started small, with 8 medicine leaflet articles, each featuring the name and description of the medication.

🔎 Indexing with Google Search Console

Once I had a few articles live, I took the next big step: indexing my site on Google Search Console. This part was tricky but crucial! I managed to get 2 articles indexed, and with confidence, I submitted my blog to Google AdSense for approval.

⚠️ First Rejection: The “Scraped Content” Confusion

Five hours later, I got a reply from AdSense 😬. They said my site had an issue related to:

“Site has scraped content without publishing original material.”

I was puzzled. What did that even mean? I started digging into YouTube videos, blog posts, and forums—everyone had their own interpretation. Some said it means you’re close to getting approved. Others said it’s about non-unique or plagiarized content. I was so confused…

At that moment, I could’ve given up. But nope—I didn’t. I kept researching, experimenting, and adding more leaflets to the site.

🔁 Second Attempt: 12 Articles Strong 💪

With renewed energy, I uploaded 12 medicine leaflet articles the following week and applied again. I waited two whole weeks… and the result was still “scraped content” 😩.

But this time, I came to a big realization:

• Google bots couldn’t properly read or crawl my content.

• My use of a subdomain (e.g. blogspot.com) possibly affected visibility.

• And maybe I wasn’t presenting the content in a rich, unique format.

Even though I felt discouraged, I didn’t let that stop me.

🚀 Pushing Through: Expanding to 26 Articles

So I doubled down—I cleaned the layout, added headers and better formatting, and increased my blog to 26 articles. And then I re-submitted to AdSense for the third time…

Guess what?

💥 They approved it! Just like that—within 3 months of starting.

💡 What I Learned (And What You Can Too)

Here’s my advice if you’re aiming for Google AdSense approval:

✅ Index Your Site

Make sure your articles are indexed via Google Search Console. Without this, bots may not find your content.

🎯 Focus on Originality

Don’t just copy articles off the internet—rewrite, elaborate, add your own thoughts. Even if the info exists elsewhere, your voice makes it unique.

📈 Build Audience Before Applying

AdSense monitors your traffic and engagement. Try to grow a wide audience and avoid sharing your site just for ad clicks—Google can suspend your account for fake engagement 😬.

🚫 Avoid Violations

Never encourage people to click ads! That’s an easy way to get penalized.

🧠 Final Words: Keep Creating, Keep Going

When I started, I had no mentor, no guide. I just researched, tried, failed, and kept moving forward. Even with limited knowledge and some mistakes, I still made it.

💬 Some of my articles had high plagiarism scores in early stages. But I kept revising, enriching, and pushing through.

Don’t give up!

Keep writing, creating, and dreaming. Your breakthrough might just be around the next submission. 😊

Thanks so much for reading this article. I hope my story helps you get approved and stay motivated. Until next time… bye! ✌️
